Problems with editing
Once I had learnt to edit my film on final cut pro, I did still come across a few problems whilst editing my film. One of the problems I faced a few times was what you would think was rather simple, which was placing my filmed shots into final cut pro, but after being shown on a number of occasions I got to grips with it. Another common problem I faced was adding effects in, however they did not always work, therefore I had to manually put them in which was time consuming. In addition to this I had a few problems with my credits as at first I did not know how to change the size of it, therefore it was creating a problem as it would block things, yet again once being shown how to change the size I did so. Then the final problem I had was changing the lighting in some shots.
Second day filming
On 14th of March I did my second day of filming. Filming took place in the evening due to the fact I was at school in the day, and that darking tone lighting was needed. We took about one hour to film the last 3 scenes, in which one new actor was needed. The filming was quick and successful. After this all filming was complete and I could now edit the shots taken, and finish editing the film intro.
Up to date Editing
I have now came quite far with editing my video, with only about half way to go. I have used a range of editing techniques which I now use effectively and efficiently. Often the fading effect is used between scenes, which helps lead on scene changes, however there are also quick shot changes in the same scene which helps the flow and adds a bit of suspense.
Filming
The location of my filming took place in and around my house. My filming featured two actors, Toby Olins and Nadia Black. I started to prepare the props and sets at around 11 am before the actors arrived. Once the actors arrived we immediately started to film, starting with the first scenes; scenes occurred in the houses bathroom, bedroom, lounge, kitchen, and outside the house. At first I started to play around with the camera to get to grips with it, however after a while I felt rather comfortable and started to film properly. We filmed for around four hours, but were unable to complete all the scenes with just a few spare. Overall I felt the filming ran smoothly and well.
Problems whilst filming.
Whilst filming there were not too many concerns, however there were a few. One being lighting, therefore I had to act according to this problem, therefore I used candles which helped the scene as it added a sense of mystery. One other problem faced whilst filming was managing the sounds and interruptions from the surrounding environment, such as phones ringing or my parents entering the room, to deal with this we had to put phones on silence and cation anyone else in the house. The final problem which I faced was the time we had, often we spent too long on certain scenes which forced us to rush on further scenes which took place.
First day editing
On my first day editing I learned how to do the basics. I had to learn how to get the clips into final cut pro at first. From here I arranged the clips. Once arranged I placed them one by one onto the timeline trying to edit as I went along. I learned how cut parts of a clip, add effects, change the speed of the clip, and how to add a credit in. This learnt it can then help me in the future of editing, making it easy.
My story board for my psychological thriller.
This is my story board for the second thriller I shot, which is in the sub-genre of a psychological thriller. The shots go from top right, and finishes at bottom left.
My change in filming.
After filming for my thriller which was sub-genred a spy thriller, I decided to changed my idea all together. I personally didn't like the clips and the dark lighting made it hard to see. Therefore I decided to re think ideas until I thought of the psychological-horror thriller, in which much of my inspiration came from the film se7en. My new idea consists of a psychopath who is under command by a book, and many other dark evils, and is a now been turned by the dark side to be a serial killer for the good of the world. Within my thriller I have re-created the book from se7en, and have many parts of my thriller created around this dark source.

Inspiration from other media
The main other inspirations for my thriller introduction, comes in the form of music, and theme tunes. There are a few which inspired me, but one of many which stood out was the James Bond 007 theme song. This helped to inspire me due to the musics sense of action, tension and mystery.
Another piece of music which has helped to inspire me is the theme songs from mission impossible. Its similar to the James Bond theme song, but adds a bit more sense secrecy, and intelligence. In addition the film itself falls into the same kind of category as my film idea.
