Taken is an enlgish action thriller film, released in 2008. The films main character see's Liam Neeson, who plays a former CIA operative, who seeks his daughter after she has been kidnapped whilst on holiday in France by human traffickers, so she can become a sex slave. The film was very successful and on its opening day in America the film grossed at 9.4 million dollars, a best opening day in history a superbowl weekend, but went on to make 24.7 million for that weekend. The film was hugely successful and grossed worldwide at around 227 million dollars.
