Thriller can be genre within either film, television or literature. The genre is well known due to the main elements within it which are suspense, tension and excitement. Using these three main elements an interesting scenario is created giving the viewers a high level of anticipation, uncertainty, and anxiety. Therefore the clips of this genre are often high speed as well as adrenaline rushing. Its this high suspense which the viewers enjoy as they edge closer to the edge of their seat, and the plot can build towards an anti climax. To add to the impact of tension and surprise within the genre directors commonly like to add cliff hangers and plot twists.
